About the Idaho Lottery

The Idaho Lottery first started selling tickets in July of 1989 and did nearly $65 million in sales its first year. By 2019, the Idaho Lottery had sold nearly $4 billion worth of tickets since its inception.

In the 2019 fiscal year, the Idaho Lottery returned a record-setting dividend of $60 million to the people of Idaho. Since 1990, the Idaho Lottery has returned over $906 million to the people of Idaho by way of supporting public schools and the Permanent Building Fund, which maintains operated facilities like state colleges and universities.
