About the Wyoming Lottery

In 2013, the Wyoming Legislature approved House Bill 77 allowing for the creation of the Wyoming Lottery. On August 24, 2014, the first lottery tickets went on sale at 400 authorized lottery retailers in the state.

The WY Lottery, also known as “WyoLotto”, has paid out over $43 million to lottery winners and over $9.4 million to Wyoming communities since its start in 2014. Each financial quarter, the WY Lottery transfers lottery revenues to the state treasurer who distributes it to Wyoming towns and counties where they decide how to best use the funds for local projects and to benefit their residents.

Currently, the WY Lottery offers the following draw games for play: Cowboy Draw, Lucky For Life, Powerball, and Mega Millions.
