In November of 1992, the voters of Nebraska approved a constitutional amendment allowing the creation of the Nebraska Lottery. The amendment passed, establishing the following distribution of NE Lottery funds: 44.5% to the Nebraska Education Improvement Fund, 44.5% to the Nebraska Environmental Trust Fund, 10% to the Nebraska State Fair, and 1% to the Compulsive Gamblers Assistance Fund. Since 1993, the NE Lottery has given more than $693 million back to preserving Nebraska’s environment, bolstering the educational system, and the state fair.
Currently, the NE Lottery offers the following draw games to play: 2by2, Pick 3, MyDay, Nebraska Pick 5, Lucky for Life, Mega Millions, and Powerball.
