About the Colorado Lottery

On January 24, 1983, the Colorado Lottery began selling scratch tickets and had its first official drawing on April 23, 1983.

Since 1983, the CO Lottery has provided over $3 billion to Colorado parks, recreation, open space, wildlife projects, and public school construction. The Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund (GOCO) distributes 50% of CO Lottery proceeds through competitive grants to local government and land trusts, while 40% is distributed to the Conservation Trust Fund, and 10% goes to Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Once the GOCO cap is reached, additional proceeds go into the Building Excellent Schools Today fund.

Currently, the CO Lottery offers the following draw games to play: Pick 3 Midday, Pick 3 Evening, Cash 5, Colorado Lotto, Lucky for Life, Powerball, and Mega Millions.
