Michigan Lottery: Macomb County man claims $3.4M Lotto 47 jackpot
LANSING, MI – A Macomb County man has some thinking to do after winning $3.4 million in the Lotto 47 jackpot.
The winning player, who made the decision to remain anonymous, won the large prize as he matched all six Lotto 47 figures on February 8: 06-07-12-16-18-46. He bought the winning ticket in the Victory Inn, found at 28950 Mound Road in Warren.
“I heard a winning ticket was sold at Victory Inn, and so I checked my ticket. Then I checked it again, then one more time, just to be certain I had been the winner,” stated the gamer. “I was stunned to learn I truly won!
“I’ve always told people I’d win. I even have a bucket list of things I’ve wanted to do when I win but I’m so shocked I can’t recall what any one of individuals things were. It’s time for you to start planning and getting that list together!”
The winner, a 68-year-old player, visited Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim the large prize. He made the decision to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum cash payment of approximately $2.1 million.
Together with his winnings, he intends to check some items off of his new bucket list.
