After playing exactly the same lottery figures for 25 years, Alan Connor finally struck it big time.

The Elk Point man is at shock when his local store scanned his Lotto 6/49 ticket on Jan. 11 to show he’d won a cool $5 million.

“All these figures emerged on screen,” Connor stated, inside a statement published around the Western Canada Lottery Corporation’s website. “I think it was some type of code.”

However it wasn’t an error, although the store confirmed the winning figures and also the prize amount, Connor was still in disbelief.

“I thought I won $50,000. However the clerk stated, ‘No, you won $5 million!’” Connor stated.

What’s going to he do with his newly found financial freedom? Connor has some ideas.

“I will repay bills and my mortgage without a doubt,” Connor stated. “I also want to visit Eastern Europe and purchase a brand new vehicle.”

Connor purchased the winning ticket in a Petro Canada service station in St. Paul.

Elk Point is roughly 221 km east of Edmonton.
