SCHOOL BUS DRIVER WINS $2 MILLION

INDIANAPOLIS – A school bus driver for Hamilton Southeastern Schools in Fishers has won $2 million from the Hoosier Lottery. Mae Davis of Greenfield hit it big on a Casino Royale scratch-off ticket she purchased yesterday at Speedway at 402 W. Main Street in Greensburg.
"It's fun to scratch!" said Davis who says she loves playing scratch-offs, but doesn't often spring for the Casino Royale ticket. As for what put her in the right place and time to buy a $2 million-winning scratch-off yesterday, Davis feels it was just luck.
"I was having a bad day so I stopped and bought three tickets," said Davis. "Yesterday, that one was just saying 'buy me!'"
After claiming her $2 million prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters this morning, Davis said she was heading directly to work to do her afternoon bus route.
She has no plans to quit her job.
"I enjoy driving the kids to school, making sure they get there and get home safe," said Davis. "I love being behind that wheel."
The Hancock County resident is a bit overwhelmed by her windfall. She hopes to "start a new life" and buy a home.
Asked what she likes most about the Hoosier Lottery, Davis summed it up by saying, "It gives people hopes and dreams that one day they'll get lucky," said Davis.
