OVERLAND PARK RESIDENT CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY WITH $5,000 WIN

TOPEKA, KAN. – Jason Adams is celebrating his birthday a couple of weeks early this year. Last Friday after work, the Overland Park resident purchased a $10 $2,000,000 Cash Bonanza instant scratch ticket, winning a $5,000 cash prize.
“I buy tickets twice a week,” said Adams. “I always play the $10 games. When I realized I’d won $5,000, I giggled like a schoolgirl. I was pretty pumped.”
Adams, who will celebrate his 30th birthday July 5, said winning a $5,000 cash prize came at a great time.
“I’m going to Florida for vacation and was concerned about money,” said Adams. “Now I don’t have to worry.”
The winner also plans to pay a few bills with his prize money. The soon-to-be 30-year-old works at Best Buy, is single and has one daughter.
The winning ticket was purchased at QuikTrip 203, located at 7681 W. 151st St. in Stanley.
