VIRGINIA BEACH WOMAN WINS $52,000 IN WIN FOR LIFE

Peggy Tan of Virginia Beach thought her husband was lying when he said she had a big winning ticket in the Virginia Lottery’s Win For Life game.
“I thought he was joking,” she later told Lottery officials. “He likes to kid around.”
It was no joke. Her ticket matched five of the first six numbers plus the Free Ball number to win $52,000 in the June 17 drawing.
She bought the winning ticket at Great Neck Shell, located at 1280 Great Neck Road in Virginia Beach. She used the Easy Pick function and allowed the computer to randomly select the numbers on her ticket.
The winning numbers for that drawing were 1-10-15-20-29-39 and the Free Ball was 18. Ms. Tan said she intends to use her winnings to pay bills.
Win For Life offers a top prize of $1,000 per week for the life of the winner. Drawings are held Wednesday and Saturday nights at 11:00.
